I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I love Native American stories that stay true to the subject. Puha did that.Hallow Leg is a white boy living in a Lipan village. He is being raised by a Lipan couple as their own son. The story of his life among Native Americans is fascinating and filled with native culture. I think my favorite part of the story involved his interaction with the animal world.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Native American stories. This story of Hallow Leg's life is filled with adventure and real life struggles of that time period. Even so, this book could be read and enjoyed by young adult as well as mature readers. The story is well written, filled with culture, adventure and coming of age as it takes the reader through the growth and development of a young orphaned boy into manhood.

Puha Master of the Wild Book 1 edition by J Bradley Van Tighem Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
An excellent read, recommend.
The story contains a lot of violence, but within this is a message of friendship over cruelty, of brotherhood over revenge.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, even though it's not my usual type to read. Kept my attention with interesting characters and great story line. Couldn't wait to get to the end and find out what happened. Not so predictable.
I rank this book with the best books I have ever read. That is the highest praise that I can give.
Wow interesting story can't wait to read it
Set in the late 1700s Texas, this is a well told story of a white boy raised in the American Indian way of life. The mystical and spiritual sides of the story enhance the adventure. The vivid nature metaphors make a reader see the desert and feel the wilderness.
Van Tighem tells one nean tale. Historical fiction at it's best. See early America through the eyes of Many Wolves. You won't regret it.
“I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review”.
A thoroughly enjoyable read; the plot development and the twists in the storyline were very interesting and entertaining. My only complaint was that the protagonist was perceived as an accidental hero, a product of his circumstances, rather than his actions to deal with those circumstances being a product of his planning and self-resolve.
